Diogenes, the Greek philosopher who is known to have chided even the mighty Alexander, believed firmly in the foundation of the state to be due to an educated youth. In India educating the youth is an uphill task and to achieve it 180 Universities and 6040 Colleges are ardently involved with. Christian colleges of all denomination, numbering 247 constitute 4% of the total educational task-force in India and are playing a prominent role in the field of education. In India, however, there are about 15 colleges with their cultural and social legacy as well as their genesis firmly entrenched in the Anglican Communion.

What enthralls is however the report that these Anglican Colleges, despite social and cultural shocks and limitations of all sorts, have earned plaudits all over India for their academic excellence, altruistic service and value based education. These colleges boast of a string of luminaries all across the globe, occupying different domains of the society, notably the Church and national leadership. These church originated centers of learning have been successfully imparting sound learning with priority given in it to accentuate the positive in life, spirit, with a profound belief in Christ. Thus, they have achieved a unique blend of theology and western education. They continue to do so wholly on the basis of Christian values, principles and traditions. It's a rapidly changing scenario these days and thus the life of any current field becomes shorter with passage of time, all due to the epoch of advancement. Increase in knowledge, fast means of its conveyance and transfer due to swift communication technologies, scientific discoveries, inventions and hypotheses etc. make it almost mandatory for the Indians to attain a linkage and association with the west, which is provided by the Anglican Universities and Colleges throughout the world. Hence, the continuance of Indians with them will proscribe redundancy to pervade our vulnerable society for the generations to follow. That way we will not only inherit the legacy in the truest of sense, but we will also be able to forge ties with the upcoming. It goes without saying that all this will be done with the driving motto of universal brotherhood, because our aims are sublime and the result we have achieved, are achieving at present and hope to achieve in future was, is and will be only for the betterment of humanity.
